A naming day ceremony is a celebration of new life — and an opportunity for the people around a child to make a meaningful commitment to them. It's joyful, inclusive, and entirely yours to shape.

The ceremony typically includes a welcome from me, the story of your child and how they came into your family, the formal naming, the presentation of any chosen godparents or special friends, community blessings, and music if you'd like it

Naming days aren't only for newborns. I celebrate naming days for older children, for children joining blended families, and for gender affirmation ceremonies — occasions when a name becomes a true reflection of who someone is. Each of these ceremonies is given the same warmth, specificity and care.

Commitment Ceremonies

Some couples don't want legal marriage. Some can't marry legally. Some simply want to make their commitment in front of the people they love, in exactly the way they choose — without bureaucracy defining the moment.

A commitment ceremony is as formal or as relaxed as you want it to be. I write your ceremony around what matters to you both: your story, your words, your rituals. The result can be deeply moving, gloriously fun, or both.

Renewal of Vows

Ten years, twenty, fifty — or simply because you want to. A renewal of vows is a chance to say again, in front of the people who matter, what you mean to each other — and to mean it even more than you did the first time.

I write renewal ceremonies with the same care I give to weddings. They can be private and intimate, or a full celebration. Whatever feels right for where you are.

Not every occasion needs a registry. Some of the most meaningful moments in life don't have a standard ceremony attached to them — a retirement, a landmark birthday, an emigration, a new chapter beginning.

A warm, personalised celebration — with a speech that captures who someone really is — can become the centrepiece of any gathering. I work with you to find the story worth telling, and then I tell it well.
